There’s something about contrast in nature that just works.
Each piece of wood has its own character — its own colour, grain, and story. Beautiful in its own right. But when two contrasting timbers are brought together, something changes. The balance shifts. The whole becomes more than the sum of its parts.
These yin and yang tea light holders are my way of capturing that idea in a simple, tactile form. Two individual pieces, handcrafted from contrasting hardwoods, designed to sit alone or interlock as one.
Whether displayed together or apart, they offer a quiet reminder that difference doesn’t divide — it creates depth, balance, and something far more complete.
Each pair is made by hand in my Gloucestershire workshop using carefully selected hardwoods, meaning no two sets are ever exactly the same.
