Handcrafted Sonor Drum Tables with Walnut & Resin Tops
From the rhythm of the stage to the calm of the home, these one-of-a-kind side tables began life as Sonor drums and have been carefully reimagined into striking pieces of functional art.
Each original drum shell has been upcycled and paired with a handcrafted European walnut top and matching solid walnut legs. The legs and tabletop are cut from the same slab to preserve continuous grain and tonal harmony, allowing the natural beauty of the timber to shine.
A flowing resin river runs through each walnut top, created using a blend of copper and aluminium pigments that mixed naturally during the pour. As the resin cured, it formed organic metallic patterns — subtle, fluid, and completely unique to each piece.
The tabletops are finished with a full clear resin flood coat, producing a glass-like surface that enhances the depth of the resin and the richness of the walnut grain. Each table is then carefully sanded and finished by hand in my Gloucestershire workshop.
These tables work beautifully in creative interiors, music spaces, lounges, or studios — pieces that carry both craftsmanship and character, where music and making meet.
