The Moon – Spalted Beech & Pearl White Resin Illuminated Wall Clock

Inspired by the beauty of the night sky, handcrafted in wood, resin and light.

This one-of-a-kind Moon wall clock brings together the warmth and natural character of spalted beech with shimmering pearl white resin to create a striking interpretation of our closest celestial neighbour.

The Moon's distinctive surface is recreated through an intricate arrangement of timber and resin, with swirling pearlescent white tones suggesting the craters, shadows and textures of the lunar landscape.

The golden-brown tones of the beech provide a beautiful contrast to the pale resin, while the natural dark spalting lines run through the timber, adding their own unique character to the design.

Twelve brass hour markers surround the Moon, complemented by elegant black clock hands and a silent-sweep quartz movement.

A Moonlit Glow

One of the most distinctive features of this clock is its integrated LED backlighting.

A concealed LED strip around the rear of the clock creates an atmospheric halo of light against the wall, adding another dimension to the design.

Using the supplied remote control, you can choose from a variety of colours and lighting effects, including:

• A single, static colour
• Colour-changing sequences
• Flashing effects
• Strobe lighting

Choose a gentle, atmospheric glow to complement the lunar design or something more colourful and dramatic.

The LED lighting operates independently of the clock mechanism, allowing you to enjoy the clock with or without illumination.

Individually Handcrafted

This clock has been created from solid spalted beech, a timber prized for its distinctive natural markings.

Spalting occurs when fungi interact with the wood, producing the remarkable dark lines and patterns visible across its surface. These natural markings make every piece of timber individual.

The pearl white resin has been carefully incorporated into the Moon design, with its swirling, shimmering finish adding depth and texture to the lunar surface.

Every stage of the construction, resin work, sanding and finishing has been carried out by hand in my Gloucestershire workshop.

This is the exact clock shown in the photographs. No two pieces of spalted timber are ever identical, making this a truly individual piece of functional wall art.
