Monolithe Wooden Mantle Clock European Walnut Resin Seam
A minimal, design-led mantle clock in European walnut — with a raw resin seam and subtle angled form.
Each piece is individually handcrafted in my Gloucestershire workshop and carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely with you.
These Monolithe clocks are a slightly different direction for me — a move towards a more minimal, design-led piece where the materials and form do the talking.
Designed as a functional object but also as a small statement piece, it’s made to be lived with rather than just looked at.
Each clock is handcrafted from European walnut, chosen for its rich tone and striking natural grain. Running through each piece is a single resin seam. Unlike many of my previous pieces, this has been intentionally left with a more natural, matte finish rather than polished smooth. The aim was to create something that feels a little more raw and organic — almost like a vein of metal running through the timber — rather than something overly refined or perfect.
The form itself is simple and solid, with a subtle 5–7 degree angled base. This gives each clock a slight forward presence, allowing it to sit comfortably on a shelf, desk or mantle without feeling flat or static.
This is not a mass-produced item — each clock is made as a one-off piece, with its own grain, character and finish.
