Hand-Turned Sweet Chestnut Mantle Clock with Green Resin Inlay
This hand-turned sweet chestnut mantle clock is a one-of-a-kind piece, individually crafted in my Gloucestershire workshop to celebrate the natural character of the timber.
Warm golden tones and distinctive grain flow across the recessed face, framed by a deep green resin inlay that introduces a contemporary contrast without overpowering the natural beauty of the wood.
Minimal diamond hour markers are precisely laser-engraved into the face, while polished silver spade hands provide an elegant finishing touch. A silent-sweep quartz movement keeps time without the distraction of a ticking sound.
The clock is finished with a gentle satin oil that enhances the colour and grain while retaining the natural feel of the sweet chestnut.
As with all my solid timber pieces, the grain, colouring and natural characteristics of the wood make this clock completely individual — there will never be another exactly like it.
