This unique camphor wood mantle clock and bud vase is a truly personal piece, crafted from a small supply of camphor timber brought back from Australia after visiting my daughter. This limited timber is now fully used, making this piece entirely one-of-a-kind and impossible to repeat.
Camphor is a beautiful, characterful hardwood, known not only for its flowing grain and warm colour variation, but also for its natural, subtle aroma, which gently lingers and adds another sensory layer to the piece.
The design combines a compact circular clock face with a hand-drilled glass test-tube bud vase, making it both practical and sculptural. It works equally well as a small mantle clock, shelf feature, or desk piece, whether styled alone or with a single stem or dried bud.
